Vacation Houses Gain More Popularity on Bulgaria's Real Estate Market

Family houses and vacation homes are becoming more and more popular in Bulgaria, especially around the Black Sea Coast and in the mountain resorts, am nonline survey conducted by Profit.bg reveals.
Many of those properties are units in residential complexes, which include extras like swimming pool, a gym, 24-hours security surveillance etc.
Most houses on the Black Sea Coast also feature a swimming pool, a garden and very often a wonderful view. The prices per square meter there vary between 900 and 1,300 eur/sq.m. for the luxury villas. Most houses are completely furnished by designers.
Vacation homes in mountain resorts are also very popular. Some of them are situated directly next to the ski runs and their prices are similar to houses on the Black Sea Coast.
Luxury villas in Bankso ski resort are offered at around 1,000 eur/sq. m. Most sellers require a deposit. The properties are newly built and furnished. Buyers can request special furniture and interior extras at an additional cost.
Most buyers are foreign citizens, the online survey found out.
All real estate pages feature ads selling houses near Varna and Burgas. The prices around those cities are significantly lower and 95% of the homes are sold together with large yards.
Houses in the outskirts of Varna, with yards space of between 500 – 1,000 sq. m., are sold at prices around 25 – 45,000 euros. Many of those are situated on the road to Zlatni Piasatsi Resort and offer a wonderful sea view.
Even old houses in need of repair works attract a lot of interest as they are sold at lower prices.
The town of Kavarna became a very attractive place for people wishing to buy property on the Black Sea Coast in recent years. Prices there start at 500 eur/sq. m. and can reach to 1,000 eur/sq. m.
In recent years foreigners have become very interested in houses in small Bulgarian villages, which are still very cheap. Some foreigners are buying such houses as vacation homes and some intend to move and live there permanently.
