Bulgaria becomes a boutique place


The site mentioned diverse attractions pulling Bulgaria away from its reputation “for cheap booze and fake watches” and converting it into “a destination of boutique cities with style and culture”. These include Bulgaria's burgeoning wineries that have got prestigious awards. As an example, Travelconnect.co.uk mentions the Todoroff winery working from the village of Brestovitsain, skirting the Rhodopi Mountain near Plovdiv.
Other features conduced to the quality of tourism in Bulgaria are the “lavish and professionally designed golf courses,” such as the Black Sea Rama, situated close to Balchik on Bulgaria’s northern Black Sea coast.
The travel portal also quote Bulgaria’s winter resorts as an attraction. At the end of 2007, the Guardian rated Bansko, situated in the Rila Mountain in the south-west, as a top budget ski resort.
In the summer time, Bulgaria attracts tourists with its diving opportunities. All along the Black Sea coast, divers can investigate the sea’s natural fauna and flora, as well as sunken ships -   dating from thousands of years ago - to more recent times.
