Numbers of Romanians tourists are going to spend Easter in Bulgaria

During the Orthodox Easter holidays, approximately 10000 Romania tourist are going to spend their holiday in Bulgaria’s northern Black Sea coast.

30 and 40 euro is the average all- inclusive price per day in the hotels which are preferred by Romanians in the port city of Varna, Goldan Sands, Albena and Elena resorts. This is about 30 to 40 % less than prices in Romanian hotels and resorts.
Last year about 750 000 Romanians tourists visited Bulgarian resorts.
The number of Romanians who spent their holidays in Bulgaria last year reached 750 000. Statistic facts display that the amount of Romanian trips to Bulgaria has duplexed after Bulgaria and Romania’s accession to the EU in January 2007 and the end of September the same year,in that way replacing Greeks as the most multitudinous visitors to Bulgaria.
Notwithstanding the surge of Romanians over the Easter and summer holidays last year, their numbers over Christmas and New Year gave a proof unexpectedly low.
Since the beginning of the year, Bulgarian hotels and tour operators have been preparing charming package offers.
While the Romanians were reportedly contented  with the quality of the Bulgarian hotels and the attendance, in accordance with Standart, they were disgruntled with the shortage of parking area in the resorts, resulting in their cars’ being towed away. In an endeavour to decide the problem, Varna municipality, hotel operators and other interested parties have scheduled gatherings in order to remove the problem before the impending holiday season.
Albena resort will orientate regular and charter bus lines from  Constanţa ,Bucharest and Cluj this summer, due to the expected 20 to 30 per cent increase of Romanian visitors to the resort, Margita Todorova, Albena sales manager told, announced  by Standart.
