eorgi Parvanov expressed his and Bulgarian people's condolences after the tragic death of the victims in the Virginia Tech massacre in a letter sent to the US Head of State George Bush on Tuesday.
"Bulgaria grieves together with the victims' families. I want to present our sincere condolences to all Virginia's citizens for the bereavement," the letter reads.
US president announced his country is to held days of mourning until Sunday after the rampage, which left 33 people dead, including the shooter.
The flags of all state institutions will be pulled down. The lectures at Virginia Tech University have been cancelled until the end of the week and the campus, which became a scene of the crime, will remain closed during the whole semester.
