The amazing Bulgarian seaside resort of Sozopol is among the top three most desirable places for tourism in the world. The town was nominated by the World Travel and Tourism Council as a top destination for 2015. Sozopol will compete for the prize with Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia and with the seaside of Taiwan. The winner will be announced on 15th April in Madrid.

Sozopol that takes part in the chart with its complex named ‘’Southern Fortress Wall and Tower Architectural and Historic Complex ‘’ has won among more than 158 applicants from the whole world. The tourist community will also learn that its old name was Apolonia as well as its very well kept archaeological heritage. Nominations from the previous year in this same category were: Bonito (Brazil), Moher Geopark (Ireland) and the winner was Costa Navarino (Greece).
