The number of passengers served at the Bourgas Airport rose by 5.1 % in August 2007, as juxtaposition to the August 2006 figures.
The airport attend to a total of 539 148 passengers, concessionaire Fraport anounced.
Varna Airport, Bulgaria’s second coastal airport, managed by the same concessionaire, served nearly 363 000 passengers in August 2007, which is a 2% diminution compared to last year.
In August 2007, Fraport’s airports Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Hahn, Lima, Antalya, Bourgas and Varna, welcomed more than 8.150 million passengers, a 4.3 % increase over the past year.
Fraport’s home base Frankfurt Airport served nearly 5.115 million passengers in August 2007. The past year less than 5.05 million passengers used the airport. “This is only the second time that the airport recorded more than 5.1 million passengers in a single month,” Fraport reported.
