Ambassador forecast- 800 000 Russians to visit Bulgaria in 2013
In 2013 about 800 000 Russian tourists are expecting to visit Bulgaria according to a forecast made from the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Yuriy Isakov.Number of Russian tourist are choosing to visit Bulgaria as a holiday destination. Two are the main seasons when they prefer to visit Bulgaria: Winter time- because of our ski resorts in Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo and summer time because of the Black Sea resorts. The number of these Russian tourists is growing steadily especially in summer time.
In the first ten month of 2012 about 570 000 Russians visited Bulgaria and the expectation is that the number of the tourists from Russia will grow substantially if the trend continues.
Another reason to visit Bulgaria are buying second homes in Bulgaria. Durring the last few years many Russians already bought their properties in Bulgaria on Black Sea Coast and our ski resorts.
In an expression Yuriy Isakov said: “This is a very serious example of very beneficial cooperation for Bulgaria and the Russian citizens in their capacity as investors buying or as tourists who are consumer of he Bulgarian products”.
“This is contributing fresh funding for Bulgaria. And I think this is a very beneficial process mutually.” he added.
