Bulgaria was visited by approximately 678 000 foreign citizens in May which is by 8.2% more compared to the same month previous year

   The share of the foreigners who came here on a business trip accounts in an increase by 9.7% and 8.7% is the share of those who visited Bulgaria as a cultural destination.
 
  The majority of the tourists come from Ukraine (17 %), Macedonia (10 %) and Russia (9.6%). More citizens from Austria (60 %), Germany (40 %), Italy (36 %), Poland (20 %), the UK (15.7%) as well as from Romania (12 %) have recently visited Bulgaria.
 
  The predominant part of the foreign citizens is the one of the tourists (44.5%). Bulgaria is also a desirable tourist destination preferred by people from Turkey and France.
